Catalog description

This course introduces essential cybersecurity principles, preparing students for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. Students will gain an understanding of core security concepts, including risk management, threat analysis, cryptography, and network security, with a focus on practical, hands-on skills. Topics covered include identifying and mitigating security threats, securing network communications, managing identity and access, and implementing organizational security policies. Through interactive labs and real-world scenarios, students will be equipped to protect and respond to cybersecurity incidents while applying Biblical and ethical principles. Prerequisite: CYB-201
