Catalog description
The School Counseling Internship (CNS-552S) provides practice of a variety of counseling-related activities in a K-12 school setting that would normally be expected of a regularly employed counselor. The 300-hour internship includes a minimum of 120 hours of direct service and weekly supervision with individuals who hold both a school-counseling license or certification and weekly supervision with a university supervision group. Students must apply for the internship, secure their own site, and find a licensed School Counselor to supervise them. This internship is graded on a credit/noncredit basis.
