Supervised Practicum

Catalog description

This course provides all students with a supervised counseling experience to practice counseling/therapy skills within their respective specializations prior to internship. The 100-hour practicum includes a minimum of 40 direct hours Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling students are required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of facilitating a therapeutic group at some point between the practicum and internship, which will count towards the student's overall direct hours total. Prerequisites: CNS-501, CNS-502, CNS-503, CNS-504, CNS-508, and CNS-533. Group hours are not required for MFT students.
