Introduction to Music Therapy provides an overview of the field of music therapy and is designed for students interested in grasping a clearer understanding of music as a therapeutic agent. The course surveys professional characteristics and organizations as well as processes and principles of music therapy as used by practicing music therapists. Special emphasis is placed on music therapy in mental health settings.
