Catalog description

This course aims to explore human interaction in relationships with emphasis on intimacy and sexuality. Additional areas of study include gender issues, sexual disorders, sexual orientation, and sexual abuse. Strategies for relational therapeutic interventions will be explored. Students will be asked to reflect on their own development, sexual, spiritual, beliefs and biases regarding these issues and be prepared to understand how this may impact their effectiveness as future counseling professionals.
