Catalog description
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of logistics management with special emphasis on last mile delivery; the final and most critical step in getting products to customers. Students will learn how organizations plan, implement, and control the efficient movement and storage of goods from origin to final destination. Students will learn how effective logistics and last mile management contribute to competitive advantage through faster delivery, lower costs, improved customer experience, and operational efficiency. This course is part of the Operations Management and Strategy stackable certificate and prepares students for roles in logistics, supply chain, distribution, transportation, or e-commerce operations where they will contribute to moving products efficiently from warehouses to customers' doors.
