Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of procurement and vendor management in modern business organizations. Students will learn how organizations acquire goods and services, select and evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing supplier relationships to support operational goals and strategic objectives. Students will learn how effective procurement and vendor management contribute to cost control, quality assurance, risk mitigation, and competitive advantage. This course is part of the Operations Management and Strategy stackable certificate and prepares students for professional roles in procurement, supply chain, operations, or vendor management where they will contribute to sourcing decisions and supplier relationship management.
