Catalog description

This course begins with the chemical and molecular foundations of living systems. Students explore core topics including macromolecules, cellular structure and function, energy transformation, cell division, and the principles of genetics and gene expression. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to examine the harmony between scientific discovery and Christian faith. The co-requisite laboratory course emphasizes critical thinking and scientific inquiry related to lecture content. Prerequisite: Completion of Reading/Writing and Math Preparatory Requirements. This course fulfills the general education lab science requirement. Co-requisite: BIO-125L.
