Research Proposal II: Research Methods and Write-up

Catalog description

This course is the second of two courses designed to help students complete all phases of the research proposal, including; selecting a research design to help collect client data, identifying a sampling method, selecting the appropriate instrument to measure client problems and progress, describing how to analyze client data, and synthesizing all of the aforementioned information into a written research proposal. Students will have internalized the importance of ethical and cultural issues in social work practice during all phases of the research process. Students pursuing a focus in addictions are required to complete their final research paper with a focus on clients, practice, agencies, policies, or issues related to addictions or co-occurring disorders. Prerequisite: SWK-661
