Race, Class, and Gender: Church and Society

Catalog description

This course examines the interaction between the Church and society, including the impact of societal divisions on Christian ministry and public witness. Topics of pressing social concern, such as race, class, gender, or politics, will be evaluated through Christian biblical and theological perspectives. The challenges and opportunities these social concerns bring to Christian life and ministry will be considered. Students will explore how Christians can respond to divisive social topics with conviction and compassion. Prerequisites: THE-101, BIL-101 or BIL-102, or HNR-170 and HNR-180.
