Catalog description

This course prepares students for the required FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-engine Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn to teach preflight preparation and procedures, airport operations, take-offs, landings, go-arounds, performance and ground reference maneuvers, navigation, slow flight and stalls, emergency and engine-out operations, and post-flight procedures. Instruction is given in multi-engine aircraft. Students require a Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-Engine Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-engine Certificate will be granted credit for this course. Prerequisite: AVP-211, AVP-212, AVP-221
