Catalog description

This course prepares students for the required FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Practical Test. The course is designed to introduce students to the current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn preflight preparation and procedures, airport operations, takeoffs, landings, go-arounds, performance and ground reference maneuvers, navigation, slow flight and stalls, high altitude operations, emergency operations, and postflight procedures. Instruction is given in aircraft and simulators. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess an FAA Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-201. Pre-requisite: AVP-101, AVP-102, AVP-111, AVP-112
