Instrument Pilot Flight Training II

Catalog description

This course is designed to train students to perform to all current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations for the FAA Instrument Rating. Students will refine their preflight preparation and procedures, basic attitude instrument flying, emergency operations, and postflight procedures skills and learn instrument procedures and navigation for all phases of flight. Instruction is given in an approved aircraft and simulators and is taken concurrently with AVP-111. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 3 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 17 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Instrument Rating practical exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating will be granted credit for this course. Prerequisite: AVP-111 and AVP-113
