Private Pilot Flight Training II

Catalog description

This course prepares students in all the required maneuvers for the FAA Private Pilot Practical Test as described in the current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS). Students will refine normal, short-field, and soft-field take-off and landings, basic flight maneuvers, communication, and emergency procedure skills, while learning nightflying, navigation, and cross-country skills. Instruction is given in approved aircraft and simulators. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 3 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 17 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Private Pilot Certificate Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Prerequisite: AVP-101 and AVP-103
