Catalog description
This course introduces students to information and communication technologies and informatics processes used to provide care, gather data, form information to drive decision-making, and support professionals as they expand knowledge and wisdom for practice. Students will explore informatics processes and technologies used to manage and improve the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient healthcare services in accordance with best practices and professional and regulatory standards. Upon completing this course, the student will build on prior learning and evidence competency in the following AACN (2021) Level 1, Essential Core Competencies for Entry-Level Professional Nursing Education for Domain 8: Informatics and Healthcare Technologies.
