Catalog description

In this course, the student will integrate, translate, and apply established and evolving disciplinary nursing knowledge, ways of knowing, and knowledge from other disciplines, including a foundation in liberal arts and natural and social sciences. This distinguishes professional nursing practice and forms the basis for clinical judgment and innovation in nursing practice. Upon completing this course, the student will build on prior learning and evidence competency in the following AACN (2021) Level 1, Essential Core Competencies for Entry-Level Professional Nursing Education for Domain 1: Knowledge for Nursing Practice and Domain 2: Person-Centered Care.
