Catalog description

The Extended and Augmented Reality course provides students with practical knowledge of XR (extended reality) and AR (augmented reality) technologies and their applications in marketing. Students will explore how AR overlays digital content onto the physical world to enhance customer experiences, while understanding XR as the umbrella term encompassing AR, VR, and MR (mixed reality) technologies. This course emphasizes hands-on creation of AR marketing campaigns, from virtual try-ons and product visualizations to location-based AR experiences and interactive packaging. Students will learn to evaluate XR/AR platforms, design compelling AR experiences, and measure campaign effectiveness. Through practical projects, students will develop workforce-ready skills to create AR marketing solutions that bridge physical and digital worlds.
