GEN 2171
College Geometry
Indiana Wesleyan University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This comprehensive college-level geometry course provides students with a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts and applications of geometry. Students will then explore the properties and measurements of various geometric shapes, including polygons and curves. They will learn to calculate perimeter, area, and volume for a range of two- and three-dimensional figures. The course delves into the principles of geometric reasoning, with a focus on triangle congruence and the use of postulates, theorems, and proofs to establish geometric relationships. Students will also study parallel lines and the properties of quadrilaterals, developing a deeper understanding of these fundamental geometric concepts.
