This course develops applied competencies in data analytics, artificial intelligence tools, visualization methods, and social network analysis within intelligence and crime analysis contexts. Students examine data preparation, analytic workflows, AI-assisted pattern recognition, and network mapping techniques used to interpret complex information environments. Emphasis is placed on producing defensible analytic conclusions, validating AI-supported outputs, and communicating findings through professional visual products. The course also addresses ethical implications of automated analysis and integrates a Christian worldview that affirms discernment, integrity, and responsible stewardship of technological power in intelligence practice. Students practice constructing link and association charts, flow diagrams, and basic financial pattern analyses to visualize relationships among people, places, and events in complex intelligence problems. Students use industry-standard tools (such as spreadsheets, visualization platforms, and social network software) to clean data, run basic analyses, and generate professional visual products.
