Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with an overview of key areas in human resource management. Coursework corresponds to the six functional areas, responsibilities, and associated knowledge as defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) that forms the basis of the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification testing. Review topics include: Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Total Rewards, Employee and Labor Relations, and Risk Management. Prerequisite: HRM-435, HRM-470, HRM-490
