Healthcare Governance and Organizational Structure

Catalog description

Students in this course will analyze governance structures and performance outcomes for alignment with organizations' mission, vision, values, and goals. The roles and responsibilities of the governing body are discussed. Students will evaluate governance oversight over organizational functions and the influence of government and regulatory policy on the governance of healthcare organizations will be explored. The importance of governing bodies' influence in the communities served by the health organization is examined. Students will apply virtuous business concepts to the governance of healthcare organizations.
