Catalog description

The course focuses on the foundations of risk management for individual investment planning. Topics include principles of risk and insurance, analysis and evaluation of risk exposure, health and health care cost management, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, life insurance, taxation of life insurance, business uses of insurance, insurance needs analysis, and insurance company and policy selection. Throughout this course, a biblical perspective of investing and risk management will be applied. Prerequisite: FIN-220.
