Catalog description

Introduction to the thermal-fluid sciences, energy, its forms and transformations, and the interactions of energy with matter. This includes properties of pure substances, the first law of thermodynamics, the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, power cycles, vapor cycles, refrigeration cycles, gas mixtures, and chemical reactions. Prerequisites: CHE-125 and PHY-222.
