Catalog description

An introductory course that introduces the fundamentals of machining. This is a study of traditional manual machining methods, teaching the use of a machine tool such as a lathe and/or a mill. Shop experience is combined with some classroom instruction. Training on safe use of machine tools. A machining project is normally required. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: EGR-142.
