Teaching Methods in the Elementary Content Areas

Catalog description

Candidates will examine approaches, methods, and strategies related to elementary content areas: English-language arts, math, science, social studies, fine arts, and health, wellness, and physical education. The course also emphasizes using academic standards, methods of planning and delivering instruction, and effectively assessing students' understanding and mastery of essential concepts and skills in each content area. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all courses in the Elementary Teacher Training Concentration.
