Catalog description

Building on foundational knowledge of research principles and evidence-based practice, this course prepares students to critically appraise and synthesize published research findings and organizational data for the purpose of translating evidence into practice. Drawing upon knowledge of healthcare information systems, students analyze frameworks to guide quality improvement and planned change initiatives to inform evidence-based solutions across diverse practice settings. Empasis is placed on advanced nursing competencies that facilitate data-driven, evidence-based improvements in quality of care, system efficiency, health outcomes, and organizational performance.
