The Implementation of Evidence-Based Practice

Catalog description

This practicum course builds upon experiential learning in DNP 810 to continue strengthening professional competencies for advanced nursing roles and interprofessional collaborative practice. Emphasis is placed on the implementation of the DNP project, including regulatory approvals to ensure compliance with ethical and legal requirements. Learning activities center on the continued analysis of plans and their effectiveness, including communication with stakeholders; interprofessional collaboration, and the utilization of resources including healthcare information systems to support the initiative. Through feedback from the mentor and self-assessment of professional competencies, students appraise strengths and needs to formulate professional goals for lifelong learning development, advocacy, and policy engagement, and to identify Christian values to guide advanced nursing practice.
