Accounting and Financial Decision Making for Managers

Catalog description

This course will prepare managers to use financial statement information to support effective decision making for their organizations. Students will acquire an understanding of the accounting process and how financial statements are constructed. Financial data will be evaluated to determine the impact of decisions on an organization's financial strength, and then students will use financial information to select improvement strategies to increase the value of the organization. Different funding options to support an organization's growth will be considered and students will demonstrate how time value of money principles can be used to improve decision making. Students will also apply principles of biblical stewardship to financial problems.
