Catalog description

This course aims to put into perspective previous course work and examine the current state of the field. Students will research a 10-year history of the field as well as the current state in terms of hardware, software, business, employment and societal effects. From this study, students will project where the field will be 10 years hence. Students also will select a topic of current interest that has some ethical component and write a research paper about that topic.
