Catalog description

This course is a continuation of Mechanical Engineering Design I and is intended to give students a working knowledge to design, analyze, and synthesize machine components and systems, including bolted and welded joints, mechanical springs, rolling contact bearings, gears, clutches, brakes, couplings and shafts. In addition, students work in groups on design projects and design a machine to perform a task of their choosing.
