Catalog description

An introduction to computer programming using the Java language, beginning with the fundamental steps needed to create, compile and run simple stand-alone applications that are platform-independent. Students will learn how to use primitive data types, control statements, methods, and arrays in their software. In addition to covering essential techniques, this course prepares students for an advanced object-oriented Java programming course. Scheduled and unscheduled projects.
