An overview of the field of information systems and the technology used to support and run organizations today. This course looks at why information systems are crucial to businesses and what advantages they provide. Students investigate the components of computers and systems, data and information, the Internet, information security, electronic commerce, enterprise systems, systems development, ethics and computer crime.
