Catalog description

General Anatomy & Physiology I provides instruction about the organization, structure, and function of the human body. This course assumes a general knowledge of human cell structure and function. This course begins with introducing the physiological concepts of feedback regulation and homeostasis and provides a study of the four major tissue types. It then examines the structure and function of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems and, in each of these systems, introduces basic pathologies occurring during physiological imbalances. This course has both a lecture and a laboratory component.
