Catalog description

An introduction to medical terminology commonly used in the healthcare field. Students will explore word parts such as prefixes, suffixes, and word roots used to build medical terms, in addition to acronyms and abbreviations. The focus is on terminology that broadly relates to human anatomy and physiology and basic body systems, with added emphasis on terms pertaining to diagnosis and pathophysiology.
