Introduction to College Reading

Catalog description

This course is designed to increase accuracy and speed of comprehension in all types of college-level reading, including textbooks, scholarly articles and literary works. In addition, this course emphasizes the elements of standard written English, including grammar, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph building. The course culminates in an essay of at least 500 words. College credit awarded, but will not be applied toward degree requirements.
