Catalog description

This course will teach students how to design a functional and safe battery pack using a market available Battery Management Systems (BMS). The course content includes the design and construction of a rechargeable battery pack. From this created battery pack, students will learn how to safely place BMS hardware around the battery that will support the functionality and safe usability of the energy dense system. The placement of BMS hardware will include software programming for data capture and logic control so the BMS portion of the battery can function. The course will allow students to go through the whole process of creating a unique rechargeable battery and market available BMS to make a functional and safe rechargeable battery.
