Catalog description

The application of signals-system concepts and mathematical techniques to the analysis of linear control systems. Interpretation and manipulation of block diagrams for closed loop control systems are introduced. Derivations, calculations, and approximations are used to obtain system performance measures, such as stability and steady state errors. Design of compensators (lead, lag, and lead-lag) and PID controllers using root locus and frequency response methods are emphasized. Simulation and analysis using MATLAB software is covered.
