Catalog description

Prerequisite or co-requisite(s): CYS 1100 . Offers in-depth coverage of all the models, protocols, services, and standards that govern TCP/IP and web protocols that guide its behavior on modern networks. As a hands-on course it provides students with with firsthand experience in installing, configuring, analyzing, using, and managing TCP/IP and web protocols on a network. These systems act as a line of defense, helping protect company assets from attacks. In this course, students gain a thorough grounding in the network and web intrusion detection using programming and third party/open source applications to capture and audit security logs.
