Catalog description

A foundation for further study in the health fields, students enrolled in this course develop understanding in topics from general chemistry, such as matter, measurements, bonding, pH, equilibrium, and introductory kinetics. Introductory concepts from organic chemistry (such as nomenclature, functional groups identification, and basic reactions) and biochemistry (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and amino acids) are explored to understand bio-molecular chemistry. Classroom and laboratory are integrated.
