Co-requisite(s): BIO 3920 . This course will explore molecular structures and mechanisms that govern the life cycle of eukaryotic cells, prokaryotic cells, and viruses. Particular attention will be paid to structures and functionalities of DNA, RNA, and protein molecules in living organisms. This course will introduce students to the techniques and technologies of molecular biology commonly used in research including polymerase chain reaction, restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, gel electrophoresis.
