Co-requisite(s): BIO 3230 . Facilitated by direct interaction with County and City officials, ECOLOGY II FIELD WORK is designed to analyze real-world samples in Indiana Tech laboratories. Molecular, chemical, and microbial analysis of water, soil, and atmosphere will bring deeper understanding of the environment while also building skills for careers in environmental sciences. Active learning in the classroom will extend to the field, particularly with work in horticulture and plant genetics, fermentation and composting, and impacts of system perturbations such as pollution and pesticides.
