This course will serve as an introduction to the financial services industry. The organization and structure of banking and financial services as well as the function, purpose and regulation of financial institutions. This course will explore the services offered by financial institutions as well as the major changes and events that are remaking the financial services industry. Concepts such as the time value of money, financial statements, and financial firm performance will also be examined.
