Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Description: Surveys popular and significant American plays written and produced in the 1920s and 1930s. Examines theatrical styles, trends, and themes that reflect the era’s values and the challenges and threats to those values. Analyzes and compares the work of playwrights, directors, performers, and designers within the historical and social contexts of the past Great War and the impending Second World War, as well as formulates comparisons to the world of the 21st century.
