Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3 Prerequisite: SOCI 151 or SOCI 161 and Junior standing or permission of instructor Description: Examines the prevalence, causes, and social implications of physical, sexual, emotional, and neglect forms of child abuse in society. Child abuse is studied from the individual, family, and societal-level perspectives. Potential intervention strategies will also be considered.
