Class Hours: 2.5 Lab/Discussion: 2.75 Credits: 4 Prerequisite: MATH 105 AND (CHEM 101 OR CHEM 111) Corequisite: BIOL 104 AND BIOL 114 or BIOL 150 Prerequisite or Corequisite: BIOL 104 or BIOL 155 Restriction: None Description: Provides students with an understanding of selected chemical stressors in the workplace that may present occupational health hazards to workers. Learn to anticipate, identify, evaluate, and control chemical stressors, including dust, mists, metal fumes, airborne fibers, inorganic and organic gases and vapors, and oxygen-deficient atmospheres. Employ documented sampling and analytical method to assess workers exposures to airborne chemical stressors and ensure compliance with regulations and prudent practices.
