Class Hours: 4 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 4 Prerequisite: NURS 316; grades of “C” or better in NURS 330 and NURS 331 and NURS 332 and NURS 333 and NURS 336 and NURS 337; or by permission Corequisite: NURS 437 or by permission. Restriction: Nursing majors only. Description: Introduces and expands upon disease processes and prevention, collaborative care, and implementation of the nursing process for clients with critical and/or complex health problems. Focuses on the adult, older adult, family, and community and uses a person-centered approach to nursing care. Expands knowledge of diagnostics, pharmacology, interventions, rehabilitation, and cultural influences to plan care. Incorporates evidence-based practice when caring for clients.
