Class Hours: 0 Lab/Discussion: 6 Credits: 2 Prerequisite: NURS 316; grades of “C” or better in NURS 330 and 331 and NURS 332 and NURS 333 and NURS 336 and NURS 337; or by permission Corequisite: NURS 432 by permission Restriction: Nursing majors only. Description: Provides opportunities for mental health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention in a variety of settings and diverse populations. Expands the ability to perform as a member of inter-professional teams in acute and community based psychiatric care facilities and to identify personal beliefs and the impact on therapeutic relationships. Enhances the ability to integrate evidence-based practice through clinical judgment to assist individuals, families, and groups.
