Class Hours: 0 Lab/Discussion: 6 Credits: 2 Prerequisite: FONU 212 and PSYC 215; grades of “C” or better in BIOL 240 and BIOL 241 and NURS 206 and NURS 207 and NURS 208 and NURS 210; or by permission Corequisite: NURS 332 or by permission Restriction: Nursing majors only Description: Provides the opportunity to apply the nursing process with pregnant women, neonates, and postpartum clients and their families in a variety of settings. Increases the ability to perform comprehensive clinically relevant, holistic health assessments and collaborate with members of the healthcare team. Emphasizes diverse, equitable and inclusive person-centered care based on best evidence, clinical judgment, and professional standards of practice and focuses on the promotion of health and wellbeing, and on those with underlying chronic conditions.
