Class Hours: 0 Lab/Discussion: 6 Credits: 2 Prerequisite: FONU 212 and PSYC 215, grades of “C” or better in BIOL 240 and BIOL 241 and NURS 206 and NURS 207 and NURS 208 and NURS 210; or by permission Corequisite: NURS 330 or by permission Restriction: Nursing majors only. Description: Provides the opportunities to apply the nursing process with children and their families in a variety of settings and demonstrate nursing professionalism in their interactions with individuals, families, and community. Increases abilities to perform comprehensive health assessments and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to identify problems, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for children and families. Emphasizes safe, comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care, and professional standards of practice.
