Class Hours: 2 Lab/Discussion: 1 Credits: 2 Restriction: Admission to Step 1 of the 3-Step Process Description: Familiarizes students with contemporary music education methods for the elementary general music classroom. Includes teaching and learning strategies for developing singing, moving, listening, creating, and playing classroom percussion, recorders, and guitar. Specific focus on child development, characteristics of special learners, curriculum planning, and diverse musical materials. Includes three classroom observations in the field.
